Bisita Iglesia

We had our Bisita Iglesia this Maundy Thursday, albeit nearby churches only. We walked in between churches as a sacrifice. We've been to 4 churches, 3 stations on the first two churches and 4 stations on the last 2, for a total of 14 stations of the cross. (Ideally it should be a station for every church that you plan to visit).

First stop was at the Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Anne at the heart of downtown Taguig. Century old church with St. Anne, the mother of Mary as the patron saint. We had our first 3 stations here.

Next church was at the St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish at Ususan, Taguig. We prayed for the 4th-6th station here.

After St. Ignatius was a long walk to the San Roque Parish at Pateros, Metro Manila. Famous for its balot, Pateros is a small municipality sandwiched by Taguig, Makati and Pasig.

Last was at the Mater Dolorosa Parish at Makati. I haven't managed to get a picture there because the mass for the "Washing of the Feet" was about to start so we have to finish our station of the cross. After the station of the cross, we celebrated the mass and witnessed the priest washed the feet of the "Apostles" in commemoration of Jesus' washing of the feet.

The experience was exhausting but spiritually fulfilling. We are hoping for more churches to visit next year (hopefully).
